Episode 1: The Definite Article: The Face of Evil

Welcome to The Definite Article: A Doctor Who Podcast!

After a long delay the first episode is here. Today I’ll be talking about the very first episode of Doctor Who I ever saw, The Face of Evil. This is an episode I feel is an underrated classic, it has multiple sci-fi ideas and tropes that touch on artificial intelligence, cargo cults and religion. Plus we get to meet for the first time the character of Leela, a character if I’m honest as a kid I fell in love with for reasons I don’t think I fully understood at the time. But Leela is not just a sexy Tarzan there is much more to her than that.

In addition to the episode I will also talk a little bit about myself and how I came to discover Doctor Who and how this show will work going forward. And if you’re not careful you might just learn something along the way. Probably not, but I hope you will be entertained.

I hope you enjoy this episode and I’d love to hear you feedback, you can do so here:
